What’s New in OKTO
Section titled “What’s New in OKTO”This feed is generated from customer-visible change manifests in the OKTO application repository. Each update links back into the canonical documentation instead of becoming a second, disconnected documentation system.
Group directory cards now alternate gray and brand-color art
The public Groups directory's card art tiles used to cycle through six fixed pastel gradients unrelated to the org's own branding. They now alternate between a neutral gray tile and a gradient built from the org's own Primary and Accent colors (Settings > Organization > Branding).
Group detail page's bento cards now use org brand tints
"When we meet," "Your group leader," and "Good to know" on a group's detail page used fixed sky/peach/mint pastel colors unrelated to org branding, same as the landing hero before it. They now use pale tints of the org's own Primary and Accent colors, matching the rest of the directory.
Group directory landing hero now uses org brand tints
The decorative circle behind the Groups directory's hero headline, and its two stat cards ("Groups meeting this week" / "Not sure where to start?"), used fixed lavender/mint/peach pastel colors unrelated to org branding. They now use pale tints of the org's own Primary and Accent colors.
Org Branding now applies Primary + new Accent color across public pages
Settings > Organization > Branding now has a second Accent Color alongside the existing Primary Color. Primary drives headers, navigation, and other brand surfaces; Accent drives hover, pressed, and selected states broadly. Both now apply consistently across Plan a Visit, Group Directory, Forms, Media, Events, Giving, Pledge, and Rentals, replacing the previously independent color settings on Plan a Visit and Rentals.
Groups filters now support multi-select with pills
The Groups list's Type and Status filters now work like the People list's filters -- open the Filters menu, check as many Type and Status values as you want, and each selected value shows up as its own removable pill.
Redesigned public Groups directory
The public Groups directory that visitors see when browsing and joining groups now has a redesigned bento-style layout, and each group's listing shows its actual leader(s).
Redesigned Groups page, multiple group leaders, and a Service Team toggle
The Groups page has a new look: browse groups as cards or a table, and open any group into its own full page instead of a side panel. Groups can now have more than one leader. Team-type groups also get a "Mark as Service Team" option, so only the teams you choose sync into Services scheduling instead of every team automatically.
Attendance is now tied to real meetings, not any date
The Attendance tab no longer lets you pick any arbitrary date. Instead it offers the group's actual weekly meeting dates and any events scheduled for it, so attendance always ties back to a real meeting. Groups that don't meet weekly and have no upcoming event will see a prompt to create one first.
Archive a group instead of deleting it
Deleting a group from its page now archives it instead of permanently erasing it -- its roster, attendance, events, and chat history stay intact for reporting, and it can be restored from the same menu at any time. The confirmation is now a proper in-app dialog instead of the browser's own popup. Archived groups show a badge and appear dimmed in the Groups list rather than disappearing entirely.
Filter the Groups list by Active or Archived
The Groups list now has an Active / Archived / All filter. It defaults to Active, so archived groups no longer clutter the main list -- switch to Archived to find and restore one, or All to see everything at once.
Service Readiness now reflects real staffing status
The Service Readiness indicator no longer shows a service as fully ready when nobody has actually been scheduled to serve.
A faster, more connected way to plan services
Planner, Teams & Volunteers, Templates, and Settings now live together in one simplified Services workspace, with new tools to plan several services at once, reuse service plans, and share the run of show with your team.
