Kids Check-In
Kids Check-In is a family-oriented attendance flow designed to help teams move quickly while keeping pickup and child information clear.

Typical family flow
Section titled “Typical family flow”1. Find the family
Section titled “1. Find the family”Locate the household using the parent or family information available in OKTO. Returning families should be matched to their existing People and household records whenever possible.
2. Select children
Section titled “2. Select children”Choose which children are checking in for the current gathering. Review any important information your team maintains on the child record before proceeding.
3. Assign rooms
Section titled “3. Assign rooms”Assign each child to the appropriate room or environment. Room configuration can be used to keep age- or ministry-specific assignments organized.
4. Print or issue security labels
Section titled “4. Print or issue security labels”The check-in flow can produce the child and parent-facing security information used by your ministry’s pickup process.
Child information
Section titled “Child information”Depending on the configuration of your People records and kids workflow, useful child information can include:
- Allergies.
- Medical or care notes.
- Authorized pickup information.
- Grade or age information.
- Previous room context.
Keep sensitive information limited to what trained staff and volunteers need for safe ministry operations.
Pickup security
Section titled “Pickup security”Use the security code or pickup process configured by your church consistently. Volunteers should confirm the authorized pickup information before releasing a child.
Treat security labels and pickup codes as operational safety controls. Do not bypass the process simply because a volunteer recognizes the parent or child.
