Media is OKTO’s workspace for organizing the content your church publishes and the live-stream experiences connected to it.
Start with a goal
What do you want to do?
Choose the outcome that matches the work in front of you. You can come back to the deeper reference sections when you need details.
Publish a media item
Use the Media Library as the shared source for messages and media that can appear across OKTO experiences.
Organize a sermon series
Group related messages into series and use tags to keep a growing library easier to browse and manage.
Manage a live stream
Use Live Streams for live content and Stream Settings for the configuration that supports it.
Surface media in the mobile app
Maintain the source content in Media, then use App Builder to control how members reach it.
Recommended flow
A good first workflow
- Add or review the media item in the shared Media Library.
- Organize the content with the appropriate series and tags.
- Configure live-stream details when the content is live.
- Use App Builder and the public media experience to control how people reach the content.
Media Library
Section titled “Media Library”Use Media Library to manage the individual media items available to your organization. The shared library is also the source used by OKTO’s member-facing media experience, so content does not need to be maintained separately for the mobile app.
Sermon Series and tags
Section titled “Sermon Series and tags”Use Sermon Series to organize related messages and Tags to add reusable classification that makes the library easier to manage as it grows.
Live Streams
Section titled “Live Streams”Use Live Streams for the church’s live content workflow and Stream Settings for the configuration that supports it.
Public media experience
Section titled “Public media experience”OKTO provides public media routes for the media library, series, and individual messages. These public experiences let people browse and watch content without entering the staff workspace.
Related areas
Section titled “Related areas”The Mobile App can surface content from the shared Media module. Manage the source content here, then use App Builder to control how the member-facing app is structured and branded.
