Event Check-In
Event Check-In is designed for conferences, summits, special events, and other gatherings where attendance is tied to an event rather than a recurring service.
Attendee roster
Section titled “Attendee roster”The event check-in workspace provides a roster-oriented view so staff can understand who has arrived and who is still pending. Multi-session or multi-day events can use the event context to keep attendance organized by the relevant date or session.
Check-in methods
Section titled “Check-in methods”Depending on the event configuration, staff can use:
- QR scanning for registered attendees.
- Manual search when an attendee does not have their QR code available.
- Walk-in capture for someone who was not pre-registered.
Walk-ins
Section titled “Walk-ins”Use the walk-in path to capture the attendee without losing the flow at the door. After the event, review newly created or matched People records so your directory remains clean.
Attendance insights
Section titled “Attendance insights”Event Check-In can provide live attendance context such as checked-in and pending totals. Use these views for door staffing and real-time event operations rather than maintaining a second spreadsheet at the entrance.
Export and follow-up
Section titled “Export and follow-up”When an event requires a roster export, use the event’s available export tools and then return to OKTO for ongoing people and follow-up workflows. Avoid treating an exported roster as a new source of truth after the event.
