Google Drive and Meet
Section titled “Google Drive and Meet”Google Drive
Section titled “Google Drive”Drive integration lets OKTO reference files that remain stored in Google Drive. This is useful for documents, planning assets, service resources, or other files your team already manages in Drive.
When a file is linked:
- The file remains governed by its Google Drive permissions.
- OKTO stores the relationship or link needed to surface it in context.
- Removing the OKTO link should not be assumed to delete the source file from Drive.
Google Meet
Section titled “Google Meet”Meet integration can create or store a video meeting link on supported OKTO records such as groups, events, or plans.
A typical flow is:
- Open the supported OKTO record.
- Choose the Meet or video-call action.
- Generate the meeting link.
- Confirm the link is stored on the record.
- Share it with the intended participants through the appropriate communication workflow.
Access still matters
Section titled “Access still matters”A Meet or Drive link does not replace OKTO permissions. Team members should have access to the OKTO record and the underlying Google resource required for their role.
